Commission work by this artist and Crispy
A gorgeous original piece by artist Boemo Diale, the work is in acrylic paints and ink markers.
"She is currently studying Film and Television at the University of the Witwatersrand. She grew up pervading different racial structures in Rustenburg, Mafikeng, and the suburbs of Johannesburg. A theme present in her works involves the inner workings of her child-self that existed in liminal spaces between rural and urban. Her works reflect nuances of gender, race, culture, identity, mental health, and spirituality. They are often playful, cathartic, and child-like reflections of the inner workings of her internal world. Many of her works also include references to traditional clay pot making, permaculture, African symbols, and scarification. Diale has had three solo presentations: Permaculture (2021) with Kalashnikovv Gallery (JHB), The Pink Room (2021) at P72 Projects (JHB), No Matter How Far I Run (2023) with Kalashnikovv Gallery. She has participated in many group shows in Johannesburg and exhibited at both the Turbine Art Fair (2021 and 2022) and FNB Art Joburg (2022)."
